Baix Penedès has got good training centres in different professional areas. The most remarkable ones are the intermediate and advanced degrees in studies for the automotive sector, administration and finances, computers or electrical facilities.

The geographical location and the connections by land or by train connect the town easily to universities with a high national and international prestige. These universities are: Rovira i Virgili University (URV in Tarragona), universities in Barcelona (UB, UAB or Pompeu Fabra) or the closest Poly- technic Campus (UPC) in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

In 2013, the expansion of the Centre of Resources in Training and Investigation (CRAI) in Coma-ruga was enhanced. It is actually the URV headquarters in the Baix Penedès. At this centre students are taught degree studies in different disciplines which can improve cultural progress at the same time they contribute to the social and economic development of the area.

Concerning the automotive sector, it is worth mentioning that in March 2015, the Martorell Superior Quality Centre for the Automotive Professional Training was started. It is located 30 minutes (45 km) away from El Vendrell with easy access by land.
